Transport
There is no airport in Lausanne, but there are direct trains to the Lausanne-CFF train station from Geneva airport (40min.) and Zurich airport (2h30). Click here to access to the swiss railway web site.
The University of Lausanne is 10 minutes away from the city center with tramway m1.
If you are coming from the city center, go directly to the Lausanne-Flon station, and then take the m1, heading to Renens Gare, and stop at Sorge station. If you are coming from the train station, you can take the underground m2 to Lausanne-Flon, and then the m1. Tramway tickets can be bought from ticket machines at every station with Swiss or European coins. There are also a desk with real humans inside at Lausanne-Flon station. Hotels usually provide a free metro-bus-tramway pass for your whole stay.
